There's a new pinnacle of sports cards.
A Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant dual Logoman card sold for $12.932 million, shattering previous records and surpassing legendary baseball cards.
The 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection card, featuring jersey patches autographed by both legends, sold at Heritage Auctions early Sunday. It’s now the most expensive sports card ever, eclipsing the Honus Wagner and Mickey Mantle cards that once held the record.
What sets this apart isn’t just the hefty price tag, but the rarity: it’s the only dual Logoman featuring these two giants together. The Jordan patch, a coveted gold variant from the NBA’s 50th-season celebrations, adds a layer of exclusivity. Heritage’s Chris Ivy called it “the finest modern basketball card in the world,” a fitting description for something so singular.
It outstripped previous records held by Steph Curry’s private $5.9 million Logoman and Luka Dončić’s $3.12 million public sale in 2022.
Jordan’s previous best was a $2.93 million 2003-04 Upper Deck Logoman; Bryant’s top was a $2.3 million private sale earlier this month.
This sale isn’t just about numbers; it’s a testament to the enduring legacy of Jordan and Bryant. Jordan remains the most searched athlete on eBay, with nearly $35 million in card sales from January to July 2025—outpacing Shohei Ohtani by almost $10 million. Bryant, meanwhile, ranks fourth with over $15 million, and Mantle isn’t far behind with $13 million.
While the card's haul is impressive it falls substantially short of the all-time memorabilia record, Babe Ruth's "Called Shot" 1932 jersey, which sold for $24.12 million.
