Jury Reaches Verdict on the 5 Counts Against Diddy

Combs was acquitted on the two most damaging charges but could still face jail time

After eight weeks of grueling and hard-to-stomach testimony, the 12 jurors on the Sean “Diddy” Combs RICO trial came to a full verdict this morning after two days of deliberation.

Combs has been found not guilty on three counts: racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking by fraud, force or coercion. He has, however, been found guilty on both counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

During the deliberation process yesterday, July 1, 2025, the jury, made up of eight men and four women, noted to judges that there were those among the twelve with “unpersuadable views,” and that a verdict on the count of racketeering would not be given along with the four presented yesterday.

As reported by both NBC News and CBS News, “The prostitution-related charges allege violations of the Mann Act, a law that makes it a federal crime to transport someone across state lines for prostitution.” This reasoning was used in the case of Diddy’s ex-girlfriends, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura and “Jane,” who remains anonymous.

The defense is calling for Diddy to be released from prison as early as today, though the prosecution is arguing against it.

The New York Times reports that Diddy could spend up to 20 years in prison as he can get 10 years for each count of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act.

The final decision is up to a judge and will be made later this afternoon.

According to the New York Times, Combs was seen mouthing "we got this" to his family as he entered the court. When the not guilty verdicts were read on the more damaging charges, Combs said "I'm coming home."
