Let’s be honest: the Epstein files dropping is not the “breaking news” many of you are making it out to be.
It’s only breaking news to people who don’t read unless the headline has a pretty provocative news anchor attached.
Some of us were yelling about this fiasco years ago. Not whispering, not hinting — literally screaming about the child trafficking rings involving high-level politicians and others. We were called crazy conspiracy theorists for it.
Meanwhile, the same folks calling us crazy were believing horoscopes written by an unpaid intern on their lunch break. Please, and I mean, please, make it make sense.
But how the files come out and suddenly the whole internet is gasping like a Victorian woman who saw a naked ankle strolling through the shire.
Honey…please. We said this…repeatedly and very loudly. The problem was never the “conspiracy theorists.”
The problem was, and still is, adult Americans who refuse to read anything that isn’t going viral.
People don’t research; They don’t cross-reference; They don’t even remember what they read last week unless it comes with a TikTok dance tutorial.
Epstein Files Loading
In case you haven’t yet heard, the House has overwhelmingly decided to release the Epstein files. Now, this has a vast array of implications that I do not believe many have yet considered.
I’m not saying I think they shouldn’t be released, quite the contrary. But I do believe we are entering into uncharted swamp waters, and thus, we must all beware of alligators.
Not to get all tin foily on you guys, but suffice it to say that I’ve learned that when information like this is even hinted at being released to the general public, there’s usually way more going on behind the scenes than we will ever know.
So, while I’m cautiously optimistic about a more transparent future in which everyone can be held accountable, I also know that diversions are real, and usually the only reason this type of information is being presented to us is to distract from something else.
Also, I can’t wait to find out if this version will be censored or if we’re getting the full report without omissions. I mean, there does seem to be thousands of pages related to what are known as “The Epstein Files.”
Will they all be released, or which documents will actually be made public, and which ones will remain in the shadows? Don’t let me get too deep…
And yes, I am officially retired from the conspiracy sector. I turned in my badge, my tinfoil cap, and the corkboard with red string.
I’m free now.
But even from the outside, you can’t simply unsee what you’ve already seen.
And this Epstein mess is the tiniest corner of a much uglier pile of things we could have been fixing if people paid attention the first time. Systems are dysfunctional, and vulnerable people are being exploited.
Entire pipelines exist in plain sight. But nobody cares until CNN permits them to care.
Did I create this to be petty? You bet! I’m as petty as they come. But it’s not because I get some sick kick out of reminding you that those who live their entire lives, refusing to do any real research on the world around them, remind me of that Homer Simpson sketch where they went in his brain and found only 2.5 bald, bumbling brain cells.
Nope.
It’s because the world desperately needs fixing, and unless we wake up and get to work, we’ll keep uncovering these scandals when it’s almost too late to hold anyone accountable.
So yes, if you’ve known me for years and debated me in any capacity, this is absolutely a friendly reminder that we told you so.
I’m not doing this for the credit, but I’ll take it anyway. I’m writing this because this country would be in a very different place if people learned to read before they learned to scroll.
