SirDavis Whisky's Honey Bee Cocktail Kit Gets a Re-Release After Selling Out in Hours

Owned by Beyonce Knowles-Carter, the spirit sold out its limited-edition kit when last released

Beyonce Knowles-Carter is a habitual record breaker. Widely regarded as the greatest music artist of her era, Knowles is the most decorated Grammy artist of all time with 32 gramaphones. She’s also the first Black woman to win Best Country Album, a feat she accomplished with Cowboy Carter.

Here’s a record that’s flown under the radar. Her decorated American Whisky, SirDavis, released a Honey Bee cocktail kit that sold out in three hours — 180 minutes. It’s the fastest sellout in Cocktail Courier history.

If you missed your opportunity to purchase the elegant kit — priced at $124.99 — the premium liquor brand is re-releasing the package in time for you to bless your summer guests with its signature Honey Bee cocktail. Included in the kit is a bottle of SirDavis Whisky, a 6oz bottle of honey syrup, 4oz bottle of lemon juice and a can of dehydrated lemon wheels.

Adding a personal touch, the kit includes a card with easy-to-follow mixing instructions (2oz SirDavis, .75 oz lemon juice, .50 oz honey syrup), a warm note from “Your Friends @SirDavis,” and a bronze horse pin as a keepsake.

The spirit is named after Beyonce’s great-grandfather Davis Hogue. Hogue was a farmer and bootlegger in the American South during prohibition. He shared his love of whiskey with friends and family by placing full bottles in empty knots of cedar trees.

“When I  discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated,” Beyonce said last year. “SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy…we have crafted a delicious American whisky that respects tradition but  also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category.”

Beyonce has much to toast to as she’s just wrapped her lauded Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit tour. Touching the U.S. and U.K., the singer closed the tour with a final show in Las Vegas that featured her husband Jay-Z and Destiny Child girlies Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
